Stream in Fisher Park Oil, 10” × 12” — $195 A plein air study capturing a quiet, wild‑feeling stream tucked inside a beloved urban park.
Because I love the Creation — wide open skies, water and creatures, the play of light — and have a kinesthetic need to explore their intricacy and beauty, I have drawn and painted since early childhood. Exploring the essence of what I see and experience is fundamentally important to me. It also provides a way to share and celebrate with others what moves me deeply.
I painted this during a plein air outing at Fisher Park and was delighted to find what looked like a wild outdoor setting in the middle of the city. It’s a sweet little stream in a lovely urban park, and I enjoyed capturing that unexpected sense of natural calm.
