Because I love the Creation — wide open skies, water and creatures, the play of light — and have a kinesthetic need to explore their intricacy and beauty, I have drawn and painted since early childhood. Exploring the essence of what I see and experience is fundamentally important to me. It also provides a way to share and celebrate with others what moves me deeply.

Description

Sedona is one of earth’s magical places — red rock country where light and color constantly change and the land’s energy feels palpable. For me, it is a sacred space that profoundly affects both body and soul. As a teenager, I found my place in the cosmos there and developed a deep sense of connection with the earth, a resonance that has never left me.

This is one of my most recent paintings. We visited last October, and when I returned home, I created several works based on the sketches I made while there.
