My name is Jenny Jones Ballard, and I am an artist based out of the Triad region of North Carolina, with over 20 years of experience as a practicing painter. My work is rooted in expressionism and surrealism, and I primarily work with acrylic paint, often incorporating mixed media to add texture, depth, and dimension to my pieces.

Through my art, I explore the tension between the familiar and the imagined. I create visual narratives that invite viewers to reflect on their own emotions and experiences. Much of my work centers around the female form and the human body. These are recurring themes I use to examine identity, femininity, and embodiment.

I use repeated patterns and bold, vibrant colors to evoke mood and movement. These elements create a sense of rhythm and emotional intensity that is central to my process. The figures in my work often appear both powerful and vulnerable, reflecting the complexity and nuance of the human experience.
