My background was in Ceramics with a BA from Boston University’s (Program in Artistanry). My medium included putting large coil and thrown porcelain pots into a kiln. After the pots got fired bisque they would then be painted with oxides and glazes of all colors and re-fired high heat.

Still enjoy working large, it is just that the pots turned into oil paintings and the paint is applied on a flat linen surface.

I’ve been studying water lilies since 2016. Heading out to Blowing Rock’s Bass Lake, and taking photos in every season and weather, has provided continuing inspiration.
