Working in carved wood or stone, welded metal and found objects, I delight in creating whimsical pieces that are universal in their appeal to children and adults alike. One body of work has been with bicycles in a variety of configurations, becoming metaphors for us as humans with quirks and eccentricities.

My most recent work has focused on intriguing wood pieces supported, encircled, or accented by welded stainless steel and sometimes rare-earth magnets. These pieces often have themes of the balance of people and nature, the need for support and protection of the environment. Whatever the medium, I seek to create quality work, with attention to detail and clean fabrication.
