My time in the studio is a form of spiritual practice; I find peace and serenity in painting. The hours at the easel deepen my connection to life that emerges with color and light onto the canvas. It is among my greatest joys to effectively communicate my experiences in the visual medium of painting. My hope is that my art pulls each viewer in, perhaps even revealing some of the intimate feelings I had while creating the piece.  Among the most pure of subjects, my landscape and waterscape work depicting the natural world has the potential to reawaken happy memories, inspire current insights, and spark dreams of future times. The gray and brown of the trees, the warm greens and beige of the land, the multi-colored spectrum reflected in the ocean, and the rich blue skies with their fluffy clouds evoke connections to Earth, this planet we call home, and to our deepest essence.
