As an artist I have mostly learned by trial and error. I enjoy painting landscapes and still life to capture light and shadow. I also print abstracts to experiment with the application of color on canvas. The challenge of capturing light, shadow, color, and form never grows old. Thomas Merton said, “Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.”
