Hi friends, I’m Katie Podracky, an impressionist painter from North Carolina. I paint landscapes full of joyful color and teach students across the country how to make their paintings glow with light and color. My work is full of energetic brushwork, vibrant colors and each painting evokes breathtaking views that draw me closer to a moment in time. Nature and family adventures frequently inspire my work.

In 2020, my family and I visited every N.C. State Park and at the suggestion of a friend, I made a painting of each place. Since then, we’ve been exploring our National Parks, and I frequently capture those views by filtering them through the lens of my soul. I don’t paint what I see, I paint what I feel.

My paintings have been described as full of “uninhibited joy” and my work is collected across the United States and featured in the permanent collections of four universities and multiple corporations. I release new collections of original work for sale throughout the year.
