Sculpture | Ceramics | Pottery | Glass | Wood

John
Easton

In my early career, I was a clay artist, making both functional and sculptural pieces. I then took up glass blowing, and once again produced both functional and sculptural pieces. In graduate and undergraduate school I worked in metal, stone, wood and Clay.

When I moved to North Carolina. I closed down my glass blowing facility, I moved a lot of my ceramic equipment and some of my glass blowing tools with me. I also brought many of my clay and glass art pieces with me. I moved a lot of my ceramic equipment and some of my glass blowing tools with me. I also brought many of my clay and glass art pieces.

I always enjoyed sculpture forms and decided to start combining the clay and glass and added metal, wood and stone to many of my pieces. Some even have shells, feathers and a variety of things I have collected from different locations. I enjoy the challenge of trying to make many different materials work together to produce an interesting pieces.
