Description
This is a sculptural bowl that is built using a handmade slab with an attached coil to form the sides and rim using pinching techniques. The exterior is unglazed bare clay. The interior is glazed and the vessel is food safe. It is inspired by the the gift of water and our responsibility to protect this gift. It is fired in an electric kiln at my home studio. The clay is sourced from Highwater Clay in Asheville, a ceramic supply store which was destroyed by the flooding from storm Helene in 2024.
