Art for me is all about the imagination whether it’s a detailed painting or abstract.

To imagine yourself in the painting, drawn in by color, and light, to remember that feeling of being at the coast, or in the mountains on a trail. Not knowing what you will see next. Or you could be sitting in a restaurant or kitchen, imagining sounds and smells.

These are things that move me and bring me back to my easel, time after time.
