“I’m an intuitive painter and teacher, a visual storyteller and dreamscaper. I rarely plan any of my paintings. Instead, I allow the story to unfold organically on the canvas. I begin by using different techniques to apply layers of paint and mixed media to the canvas from stamping bubble wrap to finger-painting. From this expressive chaos, I find imagery‚ similar to finding images in the shapes of clouds. The story emerges on the canvas. This is how my dreamscapes and creatures are born. The next stages of simplifying the chaos are more intentional. Decisions such as color, composition, and value are made to create a unified cohesive painting.

I have a deep love and passion for this process because it helps with letting go of expectations, trusting ourselves, and embracing vulnerability. It allows the space for creativity and individual artistic style to unfold authentically‚Äîa space for our stories to be told. For me, painting intuitively is affirmation that life is full of magic, if we pay attention.”
