Orange and Pink

$1,200.00

I use an extra-fine oil paint from Belgian and it is painted on a fine linen made it Italy.

The whole process is handmade.  The streachers for size are bought.

The frame used is a pine lattice that comes in 14″ lengths that I sand, stain, urethane and then paint with an edge of gold.

Then it is cut to size and nailed on.

My paintings have changed a lot along the way. I always learn from the last painting as well as all the ones that came before. Always moving forward. This year is the start of my "Modern Paintings" series. The question is: what defines a modern painting? The subject matter has come out of these paintings. "Paintings of Nothing" but everything! These paintings are about color. And color can mean a lot of things. Memories, feelings, moods. atmosphere, warmth, cold. They speak! Listen! My inspiration comes from all avenues in my life. Color is everywhere! I use high-quality oil paint which is very permanent. I want these paintings to become family heirlooms. What gives me the most pleasure is when someone buys a painting, enjoys living with it and then decides to come back and buy another one.

Description

These new paintings are about color and simplicity.  Less is more.

They are directed toward interior design and using the paintings to tie a room together.

The paintings express a feeling of less complication in a world that is moving very quickly.

They are individually built for any size or color the client wants and then simply framed.

The goal is that the client will enjoy living with the painting and wants another.  Ordered paintings can be made to hang in either direction.
