Art Agreement
Thank you for agreeing to exhibit with the Center for Creative Leadership, (i.e. CCL) a non-profit, 501c organization. We try to accommodate as many local artists and artworks through the year as we can, yet we do have some limitations. As an exhibitor, you will be asked to agree to a few parameters to display your work. Art Parameters (inclusive of, but not limited to…)
- All artwork exhibited should be original, created by the submitting artist.
- Artwork previously shown at CCL should not be exhibited a second time.
- All artwork must have a hanging apparatus that is compatible with the Walker Display picture hanging system (a rod and hook system).
- All artwork must be complete and dry to the touch before initial delivery date.
- Title and artist must be clearly indicated on all artwork.
- CCL has the right of refusal of any artwork. Nudity, religious, or violent images may not be accepted. (CCL is first and foremost a business, not an art gallery. The environment of our participants and employees is paramount.) When in question, appropriateness of a piece is determined by committee.
- Delivery and pick up of artwork to and from CCL is the responsibility of the artist.
- Artwork appearing on the postcard must be presented for exhibit.
- Artist will provide CCL with contact information: telephone, email, and mailing address.
- Sales and collection of sales money, (and appropriate taxes), along with delivery and/or shipping of sold art are the responsibility of Artstock and the artist. CCL will put interested buyers in contact with Artstock if the QR code sale is not used. When a sale is agreed upon, Artstock or the artist will notify the CCL Art Curator who will mark the piece as “sold” until the artwork is delivered to the buyer. CCL is not responsible for insufficient funds in sales transactions.
- Artwork pictured on the marketing postcard and sold BEFORE the reception date must remain in place until after the reception event.
- CCL will provide the group of artists with 300 printed postcards to be divided among the group. CCL will mail 1000+ postcards to advertise the exhibit’s reception, issue a press release to local media, and provide a light hors d’oeuvres reception; all at no cost to the artists.
- Artwork that is sold/removed after the reception date may, in instances determined by the curator, be replaced with similar size artwork.
- A representative from Artstock will serve as Project Lead. The Project Lead will be the contact between CCL and the artist group. They will get information pertinent to the exhibit out to the group, and collect all artist information (printed bio/statement, contact info & title information) the day of delivery.
