My artistic practice involves creating paintings and sculptural artworks. Creating paintings began as a way for me to have a personal creative outlet when I started my career in graphic design. I was inspired by life, whether it be a person as a portrait painting, an animal that I find beautiful, a landscape I see as part of my life, or a completely abstract creation.

My style and work are still influenced by my work in graphic arts. Art and life are about leaving an impression of what’s important to me and how I have interperted them. In creating 3d artwork, I’ve begun creating with cardboard as an immediate, accessible creative vehicle; it makes something beautiful from an overlooked resource in our daily lives. Creating with cardboard gives new life from a renewable resouce that was once alive and gives it new meaning and purpose.
