I work with soft pastels- I love the saturated, rich colors. It’s a magical combination of painting and drawing’s. I use my pastel like a brush to create paintings on wood and paper. Human and animal portraits are my passion- but I also do figurative work, landscapes and still lives. I use bold, bright colors to amplify the beauty I see around me in everyday life.

Rather than exactly reproducing what I see, I stay loose and impressionistic to capture a sense of a place, a gesture, movement, light, or a personality. My goal is to make people smile when they see my work. It’s all about coming from a place of joy and peace.
