Making art is an essential and defining part of who I am and how I live. I see so much that intrigues me, and I am endlessly challenged to paint what I see and how I feel. I choose watercolor for its versatility, power, luminosity, and the challenge of making it behave! I describe my style as contemporary realism, and strive for expressive and descriptive imagery, powerful story-telling, and expressive communication. I enjoy painting diverse subjects, including florals, landscapes, still lifes, and abstracts, but find my figurative work to be the most challenging and rewarding. I have been honored with signature status membership in both the American Watercolor Society and the National Watercolor Society, a life-long, professional goal!
