Mary Schiavone

Artists Statement:

Born and raised in North Carolina, at 10 years of age, Mary's artistic ability was evident . She expresses her love of nature in all her paintings from tranquil landscapes to inviting architecture to vibrant florals. Many of her paintings capture light and warmth by their very colors and emotions. Mary has traveled to Italy with local artist Connie Logan, to France with North Carolina artist Connie Winters and to Elethera Island with other artist friends to photograph scenes and returned home to recapture these studies on canvas. Mary's love of nature is evident in the abundant florals. butterflies birds and other creatures of the earth she enjoys painting. After owning and operating a floral and gift shop for 17 years, Mary is now dedicated to growing and expanding her creative talent for her main passion of painting. An accomplished artist or a somewhar i mpressionisric style, Mary now has a growing passion for abstract impressionism. Mary has shown and sold her paintings locally since 1992. Mary is currently showing her work to private individuals and through the annual Art Stock event in October. She is also showing at Blissful Gallery in Summerfield.
